Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a very nice lot of Spanish-American War items including a period oval colorized portrait of an American soldier, a roster for Company E, 20th Infantry Regiment, who fought at Santiago, and a myriad of insignia. This is a great opportunity to delve into a new era of U.S. Militaria!

The lot includes:

-Colorized oval portrait of an American soldier wearing an M1889 Campaign hat, uniform with cartridge belt, holding his American Krag rifle. The portrait is in rough shape with a large tear across the middle and some loss of color. Overall a nice piece.
-Rolled roster of Company E, 20th Infantry Regiment, during the Spanish-American-Filipino War, 1898-99. The bottom of the roster lists their exploits very coherantly. Great example covered by an 1899 Newspaper for Columbia, PA. Rough shape.
-Beautiful pair of Captain’s epaulets with yellow felt and bullion flaming bomb insignia, Eagle Company C Buttons. This set is in fantastic condition and both have trademarks stamped on the bottom. This is a PHENOMENAL set of epaulets.
-Four long rank chevrons, one yellow Sergeant set, one yellow Corporal set, one blue Corporal set, and one white (1910 Marine Corps marked on back) Corporal set. Great set of rare chevrons.
-Set of two Signal Corps ranks, one corporal and one sergeant, beautifully embroidered with orange chevrons. A gorgeous pair!
-9th NYNG Infantry ladder badge with badges for 1893, 1894, 1895, and 1896. Some marked John Frick NY, Solid Silver.
-47th NYNG Infantry marksman and shaprshooter ladder badge for armory rifle practice.
2 NYNG Small arms practice ladder badges, one with one bar and one with 3.
-Two Spanish-American War medals, one with small captain’s bars at top, great shape. The other medal’s ribbon is destroyed and it’s in two pieces.
-1912 MVM Marksman medal
-Large medal for centennial anniversary of the 7th Regiment NG State of New York, 1906.
-Shako plate with 2 holes in middle where a number once was.
-Several period hat badges in gilt and bronze, for the 10th, 11th, 21st, and 25th Infantry regiments, one for the 116th Artillery, one Signal Corps, 2 Cavalry, and a few shako buttons for infantry, artillery, and numbers. Great lot of insignia.

This is a really fantastic lot of Spanish-American War era insignia and ephemera, with some very rare pieces. Comes ready for further research and display!
